Many bloggers email me and asked about the possibility of adding adult rated contents in the blog. I had a research about this topic and found some interesting facts. Please read the article and never miss the points before you think naughty. In order to maintain a safe online experience for users of all ages, Blogger is implementing some nice methods while opening more liberality to adult contents.

adult contentAccording to Blogger Content Policy, adult content is permitted on Blogger, with certain terms and conditions. Adult material used for the primary purpose of commercial gain is not allowed on Blogger. many bloggers got banned after including sale of pornographic material through their blog.

Please remember that, you must mention whether your blog contains adult content before applying to Adsense.

When an adult content is flagged by readers, then Google may show users a content warning page before they view flagged material to prevent people who don't want to see this material from stumbling on it accidentally.

For reporting about an adult material, a reader may flag the blog as objectionable using the flag button on the blog's Navbar. Google will  review the blog and take action as necessary.

Some readers who are not able to flag a blog, may use this link to report about abuse of blog and its posts.Click here to fill out an abuse report.

Alexa is a web information company that crawls and audits all blogs and websites to announce a traffic based ranking system. Depend upon the traffic of a blog or website, Alexa gives ranking which can be used as an excellent tool to determine the popularity of a blog or website. As Alexa says in their website, “ The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and data obtained from other, diverse traffic data sources, and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis.

ALEXA RANKThe main Alexa traffic rank is based on a value derived from these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users). The three-month change is determined by comparing the site's current rank with its rank from three months ago. For example, on July 1, the three-month change would show the difference between the rank based on traffic during the first quarter of the year and the rank based on traffic during the second quarter.”

How to improve Alexa Ranking:

There are different ethical ways to improve the Alexa ranking. As we read above, the ranking is based on the data collected by the Alexa. So these ways are pointing towards submitting more accurate data to Alexa about our site.

Install Alexa tool bar

Installing Alexa tool bar is an optional step. But doing like that helps to provide Alexa about more data regarding the website or blog. The number of views through Alexa tool bar will be counted while rank updating and so encourage your friends also to install Alexa toolbar. There are Alexa Tool bar extensions available for various browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox etc. You can get it in Alexa website. The funny matter is that, your Alexa Ranking will improve each time you visit your own blog through a browser that has already installed with Alexa toolbar

Take an account in Alexa and Submit your URl for crawl

Even though it is not essential to take an account in Alexa, I feel better to do like that and then Submit your URL to Alexa bots to crawl.

Install Alexa Widget in your blog or website

Alexa have many traffic analysis widgets which you can display in your blog. You may select the one that is similar to one displayed in this blog. This help to make a link back to Alexa which is useful in getting more frequent crawling of Alexa bots on your blog.

So what improvement you got in three weeks? Write to us for some secret methods to improve.
