One of our distinguished reader asked us about the technique to include an image linking widget similar to the one that we are having in our blog. This facility will help your readers to keep an image widget that carries a link back to your blog. If you can provide original attractive images, then people love to keep that widget in their blog. While giving such a widget, then you had to provide the HTML code also. This post will explain how you can do it in ten minutes.
STEP A
ADD AN IMAGE OF YOUR CHOICE :
Open an account in any of photo sharing websites like Picassaweb, Flickr, or Photobucket. Then upload an image of your choice. Please be careful to upload original images in order to avoid legal complications. Before uploading,you must resize the pictures according to the popular sizes like 120 x 120 or 125 x 125. This is not mandatory, but keeping images in any of these two sizes is ideal as it will fit to sidebars of most blogs.
Once you upload, then copy the URL linked to the icon or picture or image you have uploaded. You will get this URL in your uploaded photo album near to the picture you have uploaded in that website.Paste it in Notepad and keep aside for use in the next step.
STEP B
ADD LINK BACK IMAGE CODE IN YOUR BLOG :
Here I have given the code to display a link back image code. Login to your blogger dashboard and go to Layout and Page Elements.Click on 'Add a Gadget' on the sidebar.Then select 'HTML/Javascript' and add the code given below in red colors. Before pasting the code, please edit a little bit. Change the two URLs given in black colors with the URL of your image that you copied in Notepad as described in STEP A. Also, change the URL that given in pink color with your blog URL and Save.
<img style="display: inline; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px" src="http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu277/businessvartha/WERT-2.jpg"/>
<textarea style="width: 110px; height: 120px; font-size: 1.1em" onclick="this.select();" readonly="readonly"><a href="http://businessvartha.blogspot.com"><img src="http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu277/businessvartha/WERT-2.jpg"/></a></textarea>
Now you can see the image that you uploaded with the CODE to display that will appear in your blog in scroll box.
Do you like this post: Don’t forget to give us some good words and create a link back to your blog.

A very good blogging tip...
ADDING LINK BACK IMAGE WIDGET will definitely brand my Blog pages..
Thanks for the easy to follow tutorial. Should the button be clickable when shown on my own blog? It does not seem to be, which makes me wonder if the link back is working. If you are able to check I would be thankful. Look in the right column at http://bluevelvetchair.blogspot.com
Thanks.
Michael
