BRING INSTANT TRAFFIC TO BLOG OR WEBSITE

Many of my readers email and ask me about ways to generate traffic to their blog. Some of them requested ways to get more visitors through free services. I have explained many tricks and tips to increase traffic, in my previous posts. Some others requested ways to increase traffic through paid services. Here i wish to explain about Direct Navigation Marketing, which can provide you huge Traffic in short time. As you know, huge traffic means more money.

While searching for different methods to gain traffic, my eyes got the name Elephant Traffic. I was thrilled to know what an Elephant will do in web traffic and found out the market leader in direct navigation website traffic provider. They deliver traffic from over 40.000 generic domain names such as flight.com or laptops.com. the user is then taken to advertiser's website. This traffic tends to convert visits much better into sales or paying customers.

The technique they are using is DNM and DNT. Sounds interesting isn't it?

DNM

WHY GOOGLE BAN YOUR BLOG

After the commencement of Blog Maintenance Service through my blog, I received more than 30 emails asking about why their blog was banned by Google. Most of them are active bloggers and confused on what next to do. We had a detail study on each cases and found out that, each blog was banned due to different reasons. Without mentioning the name of those bloggers, I would like to share some of our findings.

Tips to avoid ban from Google

1. Don't create any hidden Text in your blog

Many bloggers do this “black hat” technique as a SEO method. Usually this is done by typing Text in same color of your blog background. Blog visitors will never see this, but spiders will notice it while crawling your blog post. Many bloggers stuff keywords like this in order to boost their Page Rank. SEO companies offers quick Page Rank jump by using such techniques. You should totally avoid this as this was found to be one of the reason for ban in Google.

2. Avoid Duplicate Content or Websites

This is one of the most dangerous issue we have seen with many blogs. Duplicate content issues will rise when you create another blog post of same contents in your latest post. Most times some one else doing this and you are getting penalized for that. Use copyscape to find which websites or blogs have the same content that you have published.

3. Careful submission of articles to directories

You must take care not to publish or submit articles exactly the same that you publish on your own website or blog.This will help you to avoid the duplicate content penalty.First of all, publish the article on your website, and wait till it is indexed by the major search engines. Then you may start submitting it to the article directories. It is better that you submit only a part of your article and then give a link back to your blog.

4. Careful Linking with others

Link Exchange is an excellent SEO technique to increase PR. But you should avoid certain sites or blogs of categories like , Gambling sites, Porn sites etc. Also be careful in linking with blogs and sites having inappropriate contents and blogs that have once banned by Google.

5. Avoid cloaking

Cloaking is another “black hat” SEO technique in which the content presented to the search engine is different to that presented to the user's browser. This can mislead users about what they'll find when they click on a search result. Google may permanently ban your blog if they find such techniques are used to improve PR

6. Metatags, Meta Description and Title Tags

If we add common MetaTags to our HTML, then chances are more for Google, to display some “Error” or “Warning” on “Title” and “Description” Metatags. Usually duplicate description issues are not much serious but duplicate title issues are known to be harmful. Many blogs got ban after this.

Also, check your robot.txt file. if you don't want to keep your site hidden, then never put a Robot “No Index” metatag in your HTML. Keeping such a metatag will prevent spiders from crawling and indexing your blog.

7. Avoid links to unwanted blogs or sites

You should analyze the outbound links of your blog and should avoid sites that are banned by Google. It is always suggested that outgoing link should be as less as possible to achieve higher rankings.

8. Avoid Comment spamming

Most of blog service providers allow to use small HTML tags to make links back to their own blogs in Comment Forms. This should be done carefully, because, comments with huge links will not only destroy your site, but also the commentators blog also.

9. Avoid doorway Pages

You must avoid Pages dedicated to directing the user to another page (doorway pages)

10. Avoid contents that try to spread illegal, malicious scripts or ideas

Always try to keep the content look original and useful. One should avoid spreading unwanted scripts, codes, ideas, or other harmful contents through their blog. If any serious complaint arises then Google will immediately ban the blog.

11. Reduce Automated activities in blog

Never let an automated system like some Article Writing Software to write content on your blog. Automated Google queries and automated link submission are both against Google's terms of service, and both of them can get your site banned.

How to remove Ban from Google

It is a true fact that we can come back to live blogging once the ban is removed.You had to analyze your blog or blog content and rectify the issues that caused the ban. Then submit a reconsideration request.

GENERATE METATAGS FOR YOUR BLOG

Meta tags are HTML tags that you had to include in the basic template HTML of your blog or site. Inclusion of Meta tags in your HTML will help CRAWL ROBOTS to index your blog in relation to Meta Keywords given. So when someone search with any similar Keyword, then your blog will be on top of Search Engine Results. This will bring more traffic to your site within a shorter period of time.

You may use MetaTag Generator given at the bottom of the Page to develop MetaTags.

Some important Metatags

Title tag
The Page Title is the most important tag for search engine rankings. In certain templates for bloggers, it has been observed that adding this Title Tag inside the Meta showing title errors. In such case you may avoid this Title Tag and use the balance portion.

Description Meta Tag
The Description Meta Tag contain a description of the page, and it is advisable to contain words that are located within the page content. In some templates, Google shows errors in Description showing “ Duplicate Description”. This usually considered as harmless, but you may overcome this by either avoiding this tag or keeping separate description and title tags for each Page ( much difficult task, but I will explain if anyone like to know about this)

Keywords Meta Tag
Select 10 or 12 of the most popular and relevant keywords to that particular page or blog, ideally keyword phrases of 2 to 3 words, separated by a comma. Make sure that the keywords you use are located in the title, description and content of the page. But never copy the same description phrases.You may use Google Analytics in your blog or website to analyze which are the keywords relevant to your blog analyze the power of those key words. Author Meta Tag
The Author Meta Tag is used to insert a name of the webmaster or company or the Owner of the blog.

Where to paste and place the Meta Tags?

It is always better to download a copy of your existing HTML to your computer as backup, before doing this. This will help to get your layout back incase you make any mistakes.

The ideal place is below the first <head> portion and above </head> portion.

How to add separate Metatags for each posts?

Benefits of adding separate Metatags:

1. Individual Metatag installation will help to give its own identity to each and every posts in Keyword, description meta elements.

2. If we add common MetaTags to our HTML, then chances are more for Google, to display some “Error” or “Warning” on “Title” and “Description” Metatags. Usually duplicate description issues are not much serious but duplicate title issues are known to be serious. We have some known cases of ban on some sites with huge Title issues.

3. If you add separate “Keywords” for each post, then you can select the most repeated word in that post as your Keyword. This will definitely boost your search engine rankings.

So it is always better to add separate Description and Keywords for each post.

First of all, Sign in to Blogger dashboard » Layout » Edit html. ( Don't forget to download a copy of your HTML as backup ) Now look into the HTML box. Find the <head> portion, with in the first few lines of HTML of your blog. After this < head> portion, just paste the Codes formatted as per direction from Step A and Step B given as below

Step A: Add meta tags to the homepage

Look for this or similar line in that HTML

Add the below given code just below this line. You had to change “yourblogname” to your blog name, put real description in the place of “ DESCRIPTION” and Keywords in the place of “ KEYWORDS”.

<meta content='KEYWORDS' name='keywords'/> </b:if>

Step B: Add meta description for another post,

Now copy the above three lines of codes again and paste just below that code again.Here you had to change “yourblogname” to your post URL, put related description in the place of “ DESCRIPTION” and related Keywords in the place of “ KEYWORDS”.
